I have to work on a large project this week, so here's a brief Clinton news roundup:
•A New York magazine article, "Hillary Reborn," states: "At State, as in the Senate, she often talks softly -- but that doesn't mean she doesn't carry a big stick."
•As seen above, Secretary Clinton delivered remarks at the U.S.-Iraq Business and Investment Conference this morning. An excerpt: "We are excited in the Obama administration to be part of this transition that is occurring in Iraq. The plans for withdrawing troops are well underway. Our combat troops have left Iraq's major cities, Iraqi security forces have replaced them, and what we see is a new sense of commitment to the future."
•On the Afghanistan election dispute, Clinton said, "Afghan plans are in place to enable a second round of voting, and we pledge our support to the election authorities to help them achieve a conclusion to the elections process."
•In an interview with Newsweek's Russian-language partner last week, Clinton said President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize should be a "call to action" to "to move toward nonproliferation and reducing our nuclear arsenals."
•Some people over at New York magazine and the New York Observer still think Clinton could run for president in 2016, despite all her statements to the contrary.
