Clinton making women's rights her 'signature issue'

"Women's rights are becoming a signature issue for America's top diplomat," states the Christian Science Monitor in an editorial with the subheading, "No other secretary of State has so focused on women's rights. It's a powerful shift." And a very welcome shift.

In keeping with the stress on women's rights, Clinton gave a video address on human trafficking this morning. Addressing a trafficking conference in Vienna, she said, "New economic pressures are likely to aggravate the problem further."
