Hillary Clinton with Obama and Hu Jintao, April 1, 2009

On Secretary Clinton's official schedule today:

ON FOREIGN TRAVEL WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Do any of you have expertise in reading body language? In the photo above, Clinton, Obama, and Chinese President Hu Jintao all have their hands positioned in the same way while at the Winfield House, the U.S. ambassador's residence in London, earlier today.

What do you think the people in the photo below are thinking? Obama (not pictured) is talking with British Conservative Party leader David Cameron (also not pictured) at the Winfield House while Clinton (diligently taking notes with her pen), U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, and U.S. National Security Advisor James Jones (right) listen. Obama was urging countries to "pick up the pace" in finding solutions to the economic crisis.

Geithner: "How did I get myself into this mess? How do I get myself out?"

Hillary: "Note to self: Find way to tactfully suggest alternative strategy to BO in way that makes him think it was his idea."

Hand positions: Speaking from the Eastern tradition, some might point out that Hillary has the traditional "male" right thumb dominant position, while Obama has adopted the traditional "female" left thumb on top position. Hmmm...

Lefty hand position

Re: the thumb positions -- Junior is a lefty, and so am I. I am female, but I would position my hands the same way as Junior's since it's the left-hand dominant position of the thumbs.

I stand corrected! I am a righty and prefer the right thumb dominant position myself.

Something strong

I don't know what Jones is drinking, but it's not coffee. I hope it's something strong. Whatever it is, I think it went to his head.

Does Geithner not have his Turbo-Tax teleprompter? Shame..

Gosh, it looks as if Turbo-Timmy is minus his beloved Turbo-tax teleprompter. And to think he has to resort to tea and biscuits when caviar and champagne were his former masters' most trusted gastronomical allies.

At least one thing remains constant. Hillary's ability to work diligently--no matter where. And without teleprompters or looking "bored, distracted and know-it-all-seen-it-all" like the two bozos accompanying her in the photo....Thank Zeus!

Now, boys, put away the tea and the fedupped-with-this-nonsense" looks and start *working*--without resorting to deregulation of your powers of comprehension. Do the people who pay their taxes for support your salaries a favor, and act like you are doing some work!

Periodically, the boys with political/financial muscle will launch attacks against the hard work ethic to boost their appeal....

Great pix of Hillary

Be sure to check out Tifom's blog. He's got some great pix of Hillary with the British Foreign Minister (yet another good-looking representative!) and an interesting article about Hillary's favorability ratings over the years. No surprise -- her approval rating is at an all-time high right now:
