Dear readers-
Many thanks for your questions and e-mails about this blog. We are in the process of figuring out the best way forward for Madam Secretary, and appreciate your continued patience.
In the meantime, consider this an open thread.

State Dept. Blog Dipnote
The State Dept. Blog has a statement by Secretary of State Clinton upon her arrival in Tokyo, Japan. hopefully we get more coverage of her trip on CNN here in the states. Check the State Dept. website. they have updates from time to time.
Don't count on it - the MSM
Don't count on it - the MSM seem to be ignoring her trip for the most part, I guess under the cloak of the economic crisis trumping all other news. But on CNN last night we heard a few fluff stories about teenagers sexting before they even mentioned Hillary. Deliberate marginialization? Hope that's not what FP is also up to.
Marginalization

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"
Whoa! Fierce finger snap to that one, girl! =:-D
Public Service Announcement:
Public Service Announcement: Former President Bill Clinton will be on Larry King tonight, from his library. The promo indicated they'll talk about SOS Hillary, too. (Learned that from listening to Lou Dobbs in the background, with Kitty Pilgrim hosting. Otherwise, I don't watch much CNN anymore.)

Nice work, Tifom! Beautiful pix! I guess that royal blue is Hillary's trademark color now!
Hillary's trademark color
Hey NYCGirl,
guess what? Hillary is red today, fitting to the flag of Indonesia. Have a nice day !
Grossartig
Hey, Tifom,
Grossartig! You are doing a standup job covering Hillary's Asian tour!
Anyone who hasn't yet checked out Tifom's website, please go over there and check out the great photos and news.

Tifom is putting a lot of work into his blog and making the U.S. MSM look like a bunch of amateurs!
It matched
The flag at the ASEAN conference and the same color was in the screen behind her when she spoke at the press conference with the foreign minister. She wears many colors well. That blue is great on her.

Like many, I discovered this blog only recently, and it has quickly become a favorite. I visit it throughout the week. I truly hope some arrangement can be made for its continuation. So well-written, interesting, valuable, enjoyable.

It's pathetic that newsweek/washington post cannot maintain this site. Are you kidding me?

Hey, Annetoo,
Who knows what's going on behind the scenes at FP? Meanwhile, the commenters here are doing a great job reporting on events and providing links to other sites we can go to for Hill News.
Be sure to check out Tifom's blog:

Such beautiful pictures! Also, some scary stuff about security concerns and protests in Indonesia. I know she has to endure unfriendly demonstrations, but it sets my teeth on edge to see her go through it.
That was my biggest concern
About Indonesia. I worry for her, and I did not like how the Secret Service did not protect George Bush against the flying shoes.

Links to anti-Hillary sites
This All Things Hillary blog is being strongly promoted here. As I've said in a couple of previous posts, that blog links to anti-Hillary sites, such as Huff Po and MSNBC. There is still no information on their website about who is sponsoring that blog beyond someone named "Sarah" who says she is a Hillary fan.
I still find the anti-Hillary links in that blog roll questionable, but I will leave it at that for now. Everyone can decide for themselves, but let the reader beware.
Either you are an obamabot,
Either you are an obamabot, or one helped you do your site. you might want to come clean. or just write an obama site.
Four long years
Thank you, Anne. We are in for four long years of Obama supporters suddenly trying to out-Hillary the Hillaryites. We better get ready.
Not much awesome to write
Not much awesome to write about their friend obama. lol. THis week in 0 news, he cowed on the stimulus, lost 2 more people in his cabinent and the DOW drops every time he makes an announcement. Oh yeah, and his Attorney Gen'l just called us all a Nation of Cowards. GO OBAMA!!!

Hey, Anne,
I didn't know you were AnnieNYC! Nice to know that's you, homegirl! I have read your blog before, and now I have it on my Favorites! :-)

Whatta Guy!
Anne:"Oh yeah, and his Attorney Gen'l just called us all a Nation of Cowards."
This from the "Unity" ticket. Failure of leadership - every man (and woman) for him/herself. Disintegration of the rank and file.
What began in the Democratic Party last year, arrives as a runaway train at the national level. We tried to warn them. Meanwhile, the real unifier is out there working her heart out, as usual, to keep our friends and get our rivals on board. Tsk-tsk.
(Anne - they should have assigned you to keep this blog going - I told them so. Nobody listens to us except Hillary.)
awww. thanks! :)
awww. thanks! :)
Hillary interview Friday
HEADS UP:
Hillary is scheduled to be interviewed tomorrow (Friday) in Korea on Fox News Special Report at 6:00pm EST.

Answer to the question
Some were asking last week why they would abandon the blog after it was just launched...here you go with the answer:
www.mediabistro.com/fishbowlDC/rumors_andor_gossip/someones_ruffling_feathers_at_foreign_policy__109149.asp
i work at a media company--ok magazine, but aren't we all media companies now?--i can confirm we have resumes (yes plural) from FP'ers and they aren't the names listed here.
Thanks for the info
rubin, thanks for the info. I had a feeling something was going on behind the scenes at FP that caused this blog to be suspended. I agree with other posters who feel it would be a shame to shut down this blog. But as another poster pointed out, it just won't do to have someone who is anti-Hillary, or even neutral, writing the blog entries. They were doing a good job here and obviously many Hillaryites were enjoying it. Maybe the right blogger will come along and save this effort.
Hillary arrives in Beijing at 19:45 (Beijing local time).
During her stay in China, Clinton is scheduled to meet with Chinese state leaders to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Thanks
Thanks for the news from China, sweetycat. Keep us posted!
I hope they get someone who knows how amazing hillary is and
it will be so too bad if this site continues to get hillary haters to write for them. Hillary is so beloved during this trip, reporters are reported to be "waiting with baited breath" and have been describing her as "more beautiful than on TV", her staff can't keep up with her grueling schedule. hillary is amazing.
You Americans lucky to have her serve your country!
Really.
We just have Angela Merkel....
...and she looks not as good in pantsuits as Hillary.
Very funny!
Ha, ha! Poor Angela! :-)
Hillary interviewed in So. Korea
I just watched the Hillary interview from So. Korea on Fox News. She was discussing the No. Korea nuclear threat with reporter Jay Rosen and looking extremely presidential -- Sitting in front of an American flag, wearing a red jacket, and sporting a perfectly coiffed bouffant (!) hairdo. That's our Hill!
Tifom's blog has pix
Tifom's outstanding blog already has pix up of Hill in So. Korea and arriving in Beijing:

Many thanks. Any ideas how to improve my blog?
Thanks to FP
I don't know if this has been articulated, but I think all of us who post here can agree that a word of thanks is due to the staff at FP for giving us an open thread for the past week. They could have just shut down this blog altogether, but I for one think it was classy of them to just keep it open and let the Hillaryites keep each other posted, especially as she travels through Asia. This is a hell of a time for the Madam Secretary blog to go on "Hiatus", but we are thankful to be allowed to take up the slack.

Hey sssarah, many thanks for your good words about my blog. By the way, my personal favorite is the Orange Pantsuit. She looks so good in it.
If you have some good ideas how to improve my blog, please tell me. Thanks.
Orange pantsuit
Hi, Tifom,
Have you ever seen the bright orange pantsuit that Hillary famously wore when she gave her speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention? If you like the one you show on your blog, you will love the orange pantsuit from the Convention!
Hi NYCgirl, you are right,
Hi NYCgirl,
you are right, it was orange too, but the hair was different :-)
She is just looks every day better. In 2012, she will be not "just" your next President, she becomes The First Lady President.
Ohh, I like the idea :-)
