Can we all agree there's probably a little schadenfreude going on among the Clintons over Bill Richardson's tumble out of the Cabinet? Richardson's endorsement of Obama this spring is a slight Bill won't soon forget.

Richardson

First the Gov gets passed over for SOS - runner up to Hillary - and now he loses the consolation prize as well. The Clintons have to be enjoying this. I know I am.

Karma

The early endorsements of Obama from the Kennedys and Richardson still baffle me to this day... what on earth could a Jr. Senator from Illinois who'd only been around for a year and a half possibly have offered political dinosaurs like Richardson and the Kennedys that would propel them to so blatantly backstab the Clintons?! Whatever it was, Obama certainly hasn't been able to deliver on it. I highly doubt Caroline Kennedy will even be able to snake HRC's seat at this point due to a complete lack of public support. Richardson and the Kennedys handed Obama the presidency and got nothing in return. Poor things.

To what end

should this be agreed? Was there some raging debate about this in the offices of FP other than the one in your soul, Carolyn O'Hara?
